Back after a lay-off
Get back on the course
Time away from golf, whether it's injury, an operation, illness or just life, costs you strength. EMS rebuilds it gently, with no heavy weights, and Gerard sets every impulse to what you can handle.
Why it matters
Why it matters
Start gently
The intensity is set for each muscle group and starts low. It builds as your body adapts.
Supervised every minute
Gerard is with you for the whole session, one-to-one, and adjusts as you go.
Alongside your physio
EMS is a strength workout, not treatment. It fits alongside the advice from your GP or physio.
How EMS helps
What you get
- No heavy weights and no impact on your joints
- Works your legs, glutes, core and back together
- Twenty minutes, once a week
- Suits golfers returning after a lay-off, with your GP's or physio's OK
Important
EMS is exercise, not medical treatment. After an injury or operation, get the OK from your GP, surgeon or physio first. EMS isn't suitable if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, are pregnant, or have epilepsy or a serious heart condition.
How a session works
Twenty minutes. Every muscle.
Free chat and health check
We go through your game, your goals and a short health questionnaire so we know EMS is safe for you.
Suit up
No heavy weights, no machines. You change into the miha suit and the wireless MOVE unit clips on.
20 minutes of golf moves
Squats, lunges, hip hinges and rotations, all with the impulse. Gerard sets and watches every one.
48 hours to recover
Your muscles rebuild over the next two days. Then you play, practise, and come back next week.
Questions
Good to know
How soon after an operation can I start?
That's a question for your surgeon or physio. Once they're happy for you to exercise, tell us and we'll start gently.
Who shouldn't do EMS?
EMS isn't suitable if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, are pregnant, have epilepsy, a serious heart condition, or an acute illness or infection. We go through a health questionnaire with you first.
